Children should never pass before the parent. Ever.

Warning, This is a Story of Loss. With a silver lining..

I wrote this on the day I found out she passed, I was so overcome with grief , that I needed to write, I couldn’t write how I felt, I had no words, But it seems the words flowed into a kind to tribute to the strength and testament to our Mother, She stands tall, knowing her baby did not belong in this world, she is with God, who has greater things planned for her.

The Funeral was a ‘Pink’ Celebration of life, a vibrant sea of pink, a beautiful way to say thank you for blessing our lives, even for the short time you were here, your gift on earth was great.

It Leaves us hope that other women and our mother do not need to experience this again. Our Mother is focused on regaining her strength of body to carry another baby, a gift from Milli, A healthy Sibling, and soon..

Milli’s Gift was also a deep level of feeling and emotion not normally capable, having experienced a great sorrow and loss, born from it comes a profound love and strength and an appreciation for what you have now and how to become a better person to those around you.

Appreciate your children and give them an extra kiss tonight, may this be a gentle reminder to be more present with the ones you love.

Words cannot express the pain and sheer devastation felt by a parent who loses a child.

Children should never pass before the parent. Ever.

But it does happen and it’s beyond cruel.

We have lost a baby in our community, just recently.

The ripple effect this has caused on all our women and mothers and then onto our husbands and partners, has been significant.

Everyone feels it!

Everyone wishes, hopes, prays and is consumed with the possibility of a  miracle.

The miracle didn’t come. The universe opened up and shattered our worlds, individually and as a community.

Our hearts have broken, and a piece has been taken by the baby when she left.

A dark spot on our heart

It seems you are left without words,

you’re left in despair, grief and helplessness, in disbelief that this is possible.

A baby girl taken away all too soon, before life has even really  begun.

One of our mamas conceived, carried and birthed a sweet girl, all to be left with is, a memory,

along with grief and a pain beyond words, beyond anything we can even comprehend.

And even though we can’t possibly understand, we feel a pain, each of us, we feel that pain and agony in the deep fibers of our bodies as though we are all connected.

It’s going to be quite the journey to heal & recover and restrengthen, but we can do it, Our Parents can do it.

Slowly and in their own time,

Slowly the pain will ease and in its place will hold special,

the memory of a beautiful baby girl, and how brave, strong and courageous she was to enter the world. Her heart far too big for our world.

The positive is that baby Milli kept her heart strong for long enough for the incredible medical teams to discover a rare Genetic Disease, otherwise this would be an unknown.

The medical teams are now working together, dedicated to helping our beautiful mama go on to have a perfect healthy baby and grow their family,

via IVF to test for the rare Gene prior to conception.

We will rally together and wrap our parents in love support and community.

We are here for you parents,

We are here in every way you need us

We are here in love

In spirit

In person

In thoughts

In prayers

In home cooked meals

In every way you will allow us

When you are ready.

The hearts of our women in this community (and our men) absolutely astound me, I’m completely honored privileged and blessed to be part of such and incredible group of humans.

Thank you to each and everyone of you and your ongoing support through this time.

I will and am always forever grateful.

Rest in Peace little Milli Rose

You are with God now

And he has special plans for you little angel 👼 🩷

As Long as I can I will look at this world for both of us. As long as I can I will laugh with the birds, I will sing with the flowers, I will pray to the stars, for both of us.
