Sometimes, rest is the what is needed.

the ability to find rest and relaxation amongst the chaos is quite a challenge.

To learn the art of balance in life of one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself

The greatest gift is being present in the moment

These 2 key elements to life are the hardest to master

It has taken me years to learn to listen to what I need on a deeper level

To be able to give to those around me and be present every day

And honor myself and I what I need each day

It leads to be being able to receive , something I have struggled with

Having balance and not pushing myself to breaking point all the time,

I was always all or nothing

And it’s unhealthy in every sense

It’s still a work in progress and it might always be something I will have to remind myself, gently

That I need to slow down , I need to cherish the moments

And listen to the opportunities that present themselves

Fully immerse yourself without guilt and regret

Trusting that you will be better and everyone around you benefits from me, when I am good

Everyone around me is good.

It’s contagious

Sydney this weekend was a blessing, and I could have easily pushed it to the side and missed out, for so many reasons.

It’s time , it’s money, it’s taking time of work, it’s being away from my kids and my partner, it’s feeling guilty for all those reasons and more.

I received so many gifts while I was away , being completely present in the moment and being rewarded with such an overwhelming and incredible experience that will stay with me forever. I also invested in a friendship, that’s truly humbles me.

I witnessed the super moon rise over the Sydney harbour bridge in the exact moment we caught a ferry across the water.

I actually managed to secure the moon in a photo.

I was blessed with being on the inside of the opera house, standing completely dwarfed by such an incredible architectural masterpiece,

Speechless

I was witness to the birds of Tokyo and the Sydney symphony orchestra play an incredible show ,

which unbeknownst to anyone, it was on the 50th year to the day- that the first ever concert was played there on opening

There was so much more, and it’s very simple things,

But I feel like we miss the simple things, I feel like we are all so lost on the wheel of life, that we don’t stop and stare

We don’t stop to create connection

We don’t stop to listen to what we need as human beings

We don’t stop and do things for ourselves because it seems selfish, but i actual fact it’s the most selfless thing you can do.

Giving yourself time out

To do what we it is you need to do , to be the best version of yourself

So that everyone around can benefit from you and your happiness, you being present and being better.

Less reactive and more responsive

Better

Everyday just better

Do you.

Even if it’s as simple as staring at the moon or bare feet in the grass

It doesn’t have to be a trip to Sydney

There are many ways to rest reset and find you again!

Listen to your heart and listen to what it needs everyday.
