How do you build a business to suit your family and lifestyle?
I often get asked will I do sessions in the afternoons?
Or Saturdays?
You know why I don’t?
It’s family time!
Having your own business, is just that.
It’s YOURS to make your own rules, to suit your lifestyle.
What are your core values ?
Mine is family.
Of course I absolutely adore & love my ladies and I love my ‘job’. But it’s not a job, it’s not work, it’s doesn’t feel like work, I love it!
I love what I do because I have built it to suit me.
This allows me the freedom to have a 100% attention into my business and giving the more love care and support I can to my clients, my girls! I love them! 😍
I get to 100% spend time with my family from 3pm Monday to Friday and weekends.
This makes it easy for me to organize my world,and the world of those around me.
IF I started to consider working afternoons and weekends. What happens?
Yes I can earn some extra money, but at what cost?
The cost to me of Losing the time with my 2 boys as they are growing up and you can’t get that time back, that pains me.
Losing quality time with my Man, we thrive on quality time togther, being present with each other and having a very healthy communicative relationship and doing fun things together.
The cost of that sacrifice is too great for me to consider.
That’s worth more to me than the extra income. I’ll make other changes to finances instead if need be.
There are always options.
I know if I was to consider those changes I would start to feel less enthusiastic about my ‘work’ and I dare say resentment would slip in.

She said quite plainly
Balance is bullshit.
There’s no such thing.
You are either a full time working your guts out trying to make it to the top, and earning the big bucks or paying the bills.
Or you’re staying home raising a family, basking in the family life and not earning the money for those holidays and fun extra things
Everyone says – look at her, successful amazing woman – she has it all!
You know what – that’s bullshit
She doesn’t have it all.
She’s a duck! 🦆
Looks cool calm and collected on the surface and underneath she’s paddling like mad to keep it together.
Maybe when you see her, give her a hug, and don’t ask her how she does it all.
She’s probably barely coping and she probably feels awful about what’s slipping in her life.
She is failing at something, SOMETHING HAS TO GIVE!
Your career has to give , or your family?
Or worse! You give!
Which one?
You cannot give 100% attention to them all!
You will only be half assing all them, dropping the ball constantly, not being able to keep up. Constantly on the back foot.
Or you fall in a heap and you can’t do any? You burn out? You crash, your mental health suffers, your stressed out, you can’t sleep, you’re not eating properly, you are sacrificing your health and well-being ,
You’re quite possibly sacrificing your relationship with your husband/partner/kids.
I ask you- what are your core values?
What is MOST IMPORTANT TO YOU!
Yes you need to earn money to pay the bills, but do you really need to chase the CEO position while your kids are young?
We all know that this day and age, we have to have 2 incomes to survive. I get it.
All Im saying is to find out what you’re not willing to sacrifice , and start building yourself a future. You can’t have it all at the highest level. Something has to give,
So try my approach, and put down some firm boundaries around your values.
And then you can focus hard on those things that mean everything to you.
And then you thrive.
Kids only need you for so long to buy the bread, before they are buying their own.
Remember quality over quantity.
You only have one life, live it so that it fulfills you and your world.
